Cesena Cresce Open-air Museum

It only grows if dreamed, winner of the GPT – Youth for the Territory 2020 call for proposals, is a project by Cesena Comics & Stories APS to revitalize the stretch of the historic center between Palazzo Guidi and Porta Santi. It only grows if it is dreamed, for which Mango Mobile Agency is a technical partner, is made possible by Patrimonio Culturale Regione Emilia Romagna, in collaboration with the Municipality of Cesena.

The project, thanks to the Cesena Cresce app, moves with the goal of initiating a cultural revitalization of a section of Cesena that is largely residential but contains, as it is an area of the historic center, also great cultural relevance.

Cesena Grows is an app Showtime! Museum dedicated for iPhone and Android that allows organizers to communicate with their users in a direct and immediate way special and unpublished content and all related news: through visual, sound and literary suggestions, citizens will be guided to discover the area in order to nurture the frequentation of the area by implementing social relations between the resident and working community and new urban explorers.

Visitors to Cesena Grows will have an app on their device with an easy-to-use user experience thanks to the Itineraries and Map features.
There are two routes that can be enjoyed through the app: a historical-architectural itinerary aimed at adults and a series of environmental sustainability-themed stages that can be enjoyed by children and young people.

Thanks to geolocation technology, supported by iBeacon devices, each registered user will be able, on their own, to discover special content about places near them, sharing their cognitive experience on social media.

In this way, the app becomes an indispensable tool for informing and organizing the visitors’ time in the event spaces.
The creation of a customized Wish List makes it possible to have at hand the events of individual interest and be notified in good time whenever they begin.

Receiving push notifications also allows visitors, in case of program changes or special appointments, to be notified in good time and stay up-to-date with all the news.
